Baby Momma Challenge

I have 14 weeks until I am officailly Cooked. That is just over 3 month OUCH!! Think I can mange this little challenge in the next 2 - 3 months to help with the creative juices flowing through me. I will start by posting my 1st project!!
The inspiration came from Purlbee ~ Molly's Schetchbook: Cheerful Quilt Playmat.

The Shaw's are off again on another adventure!! This time to the Capital of the United States. We are going on a train to see the President. Well not really... we are going to meet Mr.M in DC and his parents from Canada. The girls and I are super excited to go on this little adventure. Stay tuned for all the pictures when we return. I told Big Girl H this morning my camera was charged and ready to go... All I heard were grumbles. Lil Miss J at least gave some support saying we would appreciate these memories later. Big Girl H is on board again as long as we can make a scrapbook when we get back!! By the way -- the girls can't wait to give Grandpa his new nickname. No spoilers here but they are excited about it. We'll see how it goes over but I take him as being a sport about the whole thing.

Who wants some Grapefruit Lemon Salt Scrub???

I am heading to my Whole Foods this weekend to get some oils or order online at Hobby Lobby

Laura over at Live.Laugh.Photograph shared her inspiration and I am in Love. Here are the directions to soft skin bliss:

Ingredients:

Sea Salt, Epsom Salt, Plain sugar or Mr.M’s personal fav (for coffee), Sugar in the Raw!

Olive Oil

Lemon Juice or Real Lemons

Fragrance Oil {I used grapefruit blush}

There are no measurements provided so just go with your sense of touch and smell.

Add the Salt (or sugar) 

Next Add the EVOO – I feel like Rachael Ray here….

Now you can add some lemon juice or real lemons. Again, it's up to you. I prefer Real Lemons since they are ALWAYS on hand at my house.

Mix all these ingredients together until you get the consistency you are looking for then Add:

Once complete it should look a little something like this …

Bottle up all this goodness and share with family, friends, neighbors or just keep it for yourself!!

Got Baby on the Brain

1st... I am super excited to make it to the Gym today!! I feel so lazy this week but I have tried really hard to make it there. We were really busy buying my new car!!! Yes, I gave in and bought it. LittleMissJ and I went on Saturday and did it all by ourselves. Where was Mr.M???? Golf. Hey who says girls can't buy cars and get a good deal. I do have  to give Mr.M props for his last minute appeal for new Roters (I have no idea what they are but I got them). The girls do like the new car even though it does NOT have a TV. For the record, I have never been that mom that plays the TV every time I am in the car... ONLY for long trips.

But.... I really wanted to share what I am LOVING right now. This Quilt from Maggie and Sparrow.



Jessica Alba just got one for her baby and I think it is adorable. Not $280.00 adorable but DOABLE for my mom as a quilter. Mr.M and I will be shopping for ShawBaby this weekend. Hope to find / agree on a crib.
