#Throwback Thursday - Say What?

What does that say?? Welcome to GSU!! Welcome Back?

What could that possibly mean? It means I am going back to College.

My Sister and I on our very 1st Day of College at GSU

Since I graduated High School in June 1996

Twinkie Shoe Alert
I have gone to college for 4 years - minus the degree. Worked full time, was in an AMAZING sorority AOPi, lived all on my own and learned to pay bills. I even transferred to GA State my Senior year (bad move). Not that it is a bad school it just helped create the situation of no degree. Why do you ask?

After all that... I got married, had 2 Beautiful baby girls. I also got divorced. Met and married my wonderfully supportive and loving husband. Today is our Anniversary Woot Woot. And had my baby boy.
Now this does not look like I have lived an unaccomplished life. No-Sir-E-Bob. I love my life. All of my choices have given me the blessings I am most thankful for today. But I still do not have that degree. So with dreams of a future and a little bit of gumption I hope to complete one of the biggest projects I have started and not finished. Ask my husband, I have lots of those around my house.

So please show me some love and encouragement as I embark on this journey of College at the age of thirty -- well that doesn't matter. Like my momma used to always say "Once you've earned it no one can take it away from you" oh yeah and "Do it for yourself". Well Mom - I am now.

Ciao

Happy Anniversary To My Valentine

Happy Anniversary Michael. I love you more today than yesterday and I will love you more tomorrow than today.

You are the one,
In my dreams at night.
You are the one,
I’m holding so tight.
You are the one,
I want to be kissin’
You are the one,
I don’t want to be missin’
You are the one,
Who holds the key.
You are the one,
I want with me.
You are the one,
I want to touch.
You are the one,
I need so much.
You are the one,
That I’ll forever love.
You are the one,
Sent from heaven above.
I chose you,
I want you to be my everything.
I love you so much, and forever do.
- Anita Ziolkowski

I can't wait to see what our next year of marriage brings for us. We will have quite a few adventures I imagine.

XoXo ~ Happy Valentine's Day

S'mores Pops

I saw these over on Keller Kreative and then AGAIN on Charleston Girl this week. It is too HOT to have a fire and I am craving sweets like there is no tomorrow. All I need is my girls to come home to have more of an excuse to make these little darlings!

What you need:
  • Marshmallows
  • Wooden Skewers (I am grocery store challenged and after spending 10 min. looking for them in Publix, I gave up and got colorful straws in the Birthday supplies isle - they worked out just as well)
  • Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • Graham Cracker crumbs
  • Sprinkles! Lots and lots of sprinkles! (I went through about three small bottles of sprinkles - really depends on how many you want to use.)
Merry Christmas Eve!

Happy Halloween from Our Family to Yours

Very happy with our DIY costumes this year! We have a spider monkey, a gumball machine, an 80's chick from Chicago and a Lumber Jack. Kind of sad this may be one of the last Trick or Treating experiences with the girls. Next few years they won't be at my house for Halloween then they will be Too Old and Too Cool for us. Happy with the moments we do have together!

Here was Baby Boy at school before Trick or treat

Five Ways You Are The Best Husband, Father, and Friend

  1. You are a fabulous daddy to our children! You plays with them, snuggles with them, take care of them (even changing diapers!), talk to them, and teach them. They are so blessed to have you as their daddy.
  2. You are a diligent provider. I know that you will never just decide to quit your job because you are tired of working so hard. You makes sure that our needs are met.
  3. You spends your free time with me and the kids. You don’t run off to spend all your time with “the guys”. You actually enjoy being with us.
  4. You ARE supportive! You will encourage me and the kids to try something even if we feel we cannot succeed. You make my dreams and goals feel worthy.
  5. You are curious and adventurous. you love to try new foods, go new places, learn new things and challenge yourself. I love that you are willing and eager to try new things even if it is purely for my own desire. You will always try something once without hesitation before saying you are not interested.
Thanks for being you. Thanks for always being there. Thanks for making my dreams come true.  XoXo
