Girls weekend baking

I spent hours at the store getting all the ingredients for our little vacation coming up tomorrow. It is now almost 10:15pm and I am blogging instead of packing.

After going over all these picks I learned one thing -- I need better bowls and better photo skills as these do not seem very exciting. Another note... I am a little embarrassed at how much Walmart brand foods were used. If my husband saw this before eating it - he wouldn't. Good thing this is not for him.

 Happy Thursday Everyone!! Or Friday for me. Girls Weekend this weekend Woot Woot!!

I have no idea what everyone is so worried about. We have 4 weeks!!!

Now I will tell you I am a little worried about ....

Hello .... Thursday. Am I happy to see you. It is my Friday Which makes it just a little bit sweeter. I was inspired last night as I watch Nick and Vanessa's Dream Wedding on my TIVO. First, I was so excited that I married the other man in the world who loves me as much as Nick Loves Vanessa!! It was like watching us on TV just not as good looking. Pardon the bad lighting but I have received a couple complements so far. Well not sure one was a compliment when I was told I need a 50's style dress and I would be June Cleaver?? I watched this little video last night to show me just how to do it.

The 5 Item Bag

Back to School. Momma had lots of homework last night. This included helping the girls come up with and compile their all about me bags. I did not think this would be so hard or time consuming. It made me a little nostalgic and I wanted to share what the girls came up with!!.

They both got to share the following images:

BigGirlH, Mr.M and LilMissJ -- because they love their stepdad and Hockey with him.

BigGirlH included her board from Karate that she broke, an apple for her favorite fruit, a collage picture of her  playing all her favorite sports - soccer, t-ball and swimming and a bracelet for making jewelry. And the below pics:

1st Day of School

Hello 3rd and 4th Grades!!! This is the one and only day besides picture day that I will be able to get my girls to look cute and normal. After today they will be picking out their own clothes. Notice the bow in BigGirlH's hair??? That was a challenge. One day they will appreciate that I stayed up late last night sewing on the ribbons to the shorts and polo shirt arms. Not to mention making the Corkscrew hair bows for them. Last night, I just got the call  from Mr.M that BigGirlH had a talk with him to "speak to me about making her wear a hair bow." REALLY!!  I got the talk that she really doesn't want to and he  reassured me it was only a faze and she would grow out of it. I guess it could be worse. She could want to wear hot pants right? But doesn't she look cute? Anyhoo, I like my girls to look like girls. No harm no foul. They have their own freedom to dress themselves 90% of the time. I overrule for church, picture day and the 1st day of school. I am mom you can give me those 3 things.
We got to meet our teachers last night at school and write about 10 checks -- individual checks might I add. Thanks to the school for coming out with the SAME water bottles from last year BUT with a fancy new lid. So of course we had to buy one   two. Both of our teachers were very nice. Both girls have  friends in their classes which is a lifesaver. All in all I feel we are going to have a great school year.
Last nights, soccer tryouts were cancelled due to the fields being to wet. Yes I am that mom that is cramming way too much into an evening the night before school started. This turned out to be a relief. We did end up going to Yamato Japanese Steakhouse for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. It is a tradition that we always take the kids to celebrate together. The best part of course is the leftovers.

Friday's Fancie's with {av} at Long Distance Loving. I went out last night to meet some wonderful Bloggers from Charleston at Social Wine Bar. All these woman were beautiful and talented. Made me YEARN for the day I could be as cute as them again. So I decided I needed some online retail therapy just to Day Dream. And Low and behold -- my favorite store now has Bump Wear!! Get out Francesca's. Who would have thought. Thank goodness I am almost done or I would have done some major retail therapy for my bump.

Back to last night... Thank you  to Kim at Keller Creative for putting this together and taking some pictures of the event. It was awesome to meet Amanda, Christina, Ashton, Megan, Mary Loyal, Ashley, Christy, Whitney, Chassity, Madison, Natalie and Caycee. I look forward to seeing everyone again.
